Achievements
During quarter century of its existence, FBS had trained thousands of novices and some of them have blossomed as out standing world class Bonsai artists and technicians extraordinaire whose master-pieces are donning the walls of United States of America’s National Arboretum in the capital city of Washington D.C., along with 381 years’ old Japanese white pine, Chinese penjing “ pauper’s Tea”, California Juniper. Some of the members are having not a Bonsai garden but a Bonsai “ Factory” where new techniques are adopted to give 40 years old look to a 10 years old tree by training it in a massive, hugh and wide pot by dumping quintals of organic manure, and very frequent pruning and repotting. The members have made FBS proud by their yeoman service by training hundreds of Bonsai enthusiasts all over Andhra Pradesh, who have in due course become mature Bonsai artists. The Bonsai art became immensely popular in Andhra Pradesh owing to the initial drive given by our founder President Dr Pushpa Jaywant and Dr. D.L.N. Prasad, a renowned plastic surgeon. |
